Michael Jackson The king of pop
When Michael died it shocked the world. It definitely jarred me. I turned on the television like everyone else when they heard the news and with tears and sadness I sat stunned and overwhelmed with grief. I never even met Michael, but always felt connected to him through the passion you could literally feel him pouring out to you in his music and dance. Whenever he spoke, you could hear the genuineness behind soft meek voice. He spoke in interviews of love, music and even injustice. It was in his humble disposition where his mystique lay, because we were witness to the contrasting greatness of his gift of art, music and moon walk.
Amazingly the same news broadcasters who criticized this man with unkind words just weeks and months before his death were visibly shaken. Well wishes and an outpour of kind words went out in celebration of this man they mocked and cruelly nicknamed “Jacko”. “How fickle”, I thought. This man they now call “legend” who they shunned for his mistakes or misjudgments, they now celebrated his life. Wouldn’t it have been better to let him know then what we need him to know now, when he was alive and in need of those positive words?
Countless newspaper articles, blogs and television news programs were fueled by the controversy of his life. Instead of seeing him as a man, a brother or friend in need, they wanted to “uncover the truth”, expose his financial problems and mock his insecurities and surgeries. This done all in order to make money with gaining viewers and readers. It is not so amazing that the world can profit from someone else’s pain.
America is in a recession. Many people are losing their homes and in financial crisis. Many people have personal issues that they need help with. Not many of us would like those broadcasted to the world and commented on negatively, so why do it to Michael and other stars like him?
Michael asked us to heal the world, to make it a better place, for you and for him and the entire human race. So this is what I am doing. This is just me doing my part. I started this blog so that we could pray for our friends, celebrate our stars, Michael and his family and his legacy. He was right, “There are people dying, if you cared enough for the living, make a better place for you and for me.” Those words mean even more that he is no longer living. So if you care for the living, don’t wait to give your well wishes. Don’t wait until people pass on to pray for their family. Don’t wait to pray for them when you see they are in trouble. Celebrities and pop stars like Michael are only human. Heal the world with prayer while they are alive. That is when they need it most.
Michael this is for you. I am sorry you had to endure so much, but know there were people praying for you and always hoping the best. We love you.
