As a contestant on American Idol Season 5, Mandisa, now a gospel sensation, tells of her past fears of Simon Cowell’s terrible, remarks about her weight. Pop stars and hopefuls all face harsh criticism. Mandisa was the perfect example of what do do and how to live boldly and without fear. When producer’s told her to go off on Simon Cowell for making remarks about her weight on National television saying, “do we have a bigger stage this year” and “she’s like France,” Mandisa instead decided to forgive Simon and tell him about Jesus. After being embarrassed on National television about her weight, her and her friends continue to pray for Simon Cowell, and Mandisa says this was about more than anything he was going through, but rather an opportunity to give God Glory.
