Michael Jackson Spent His Final Hours Reading The Bible.
A report from The Daily Mail online states that Michael Jackson spent his last few hours in excruciating pain and on medication while reading his Bible and listening to the music of the Gypsy Kings. The final hours that were documented by his biographer, author Ian Halparin, are not flattering, but they give a detail account of what occurred hours before his death, and include more insight into Michael’s spiritual search, and the effects of the stresses from his illness and financial worries.  This information is further proof of why we need to continue to pray for our stars instead of casting uninformed judgments on their lives without knowing their full story. Some have debated Michael Jackson’s faith arguing that he could not have been a Christian due to what we have read about his lifestyle.  I have often said we do not know people in their private hours and what they encounter, so it is not worth our time to make uneducated judgments. It is better we pray and hope for the best. After reading the documented information, it appears Michael Jackson was searching for knowledge about God. According to the article he did not want to go through with the 50 concert tour, and while discussing his frustration and while possibly referring to the concert promoters said he felt he had “made a deal with the devil.”

Even when no one else is there, God is always there. This is why we pray. To extend a hand to those in need during hard times like this. The article said Michael was crying for his father for help.  This report also stated that Michael died while asleep after Dr. Murray gave him Diprivan for the pain. He apparently then never woke up.

Here is an excerpt from the article:

“At 1.20am, he received a phone call. ‘It was from one of his advisers,’ Halperin says. ‘He got in a shouting match about finances. That was when Michael said he was calling off the tour. He said some of his advisers didn’t care about his welfare. There were undesirables around him who he feared would hurt him physically and financially. He might have gone along if it had been five shows, he said, but he couldn’t do 50.’ ”

If this is not a wake up call as to why we need to pray for Pop stars,  I don’t know what is. People who are searching for a help, comfort and healing need guidance in order to be able to find God.  Many are misguided. Pray people.. Pray.. Pop needs prayer.
