This site is called Pop Prayers.com and was established in order to remind us to pray for our stars. Who, more appropriate to be put on this list for prayer but the man they call the “Pop President?” The biggest if not brightest star of today is leading our nation right now, and he is President Barack Obama, the president of our United States of America. He is one of the most respected presidents around the world. Visit any international country and it is unbelievable to experience the people’s adulation for Obama. Though he does have adamant supporters here in the US, he is currently under fire from members of both parties and citizens for some tough decisions on issues. This is seen with matters from healthcare, Iraq and the deficit, to race relations like the Henry Louis Gates Jr. incident and the man who arrested him, Police Sergeant James Crowley. The president is under a great deal of scrutiny and criticism. He even made headlines for killing a fly on national television, which some found trivial, while others found to be concern for animal cruelty.

It is now that we need to be in constant prayer for our elected leader. “Change” and “Yes we can,” were the slogans chanted in his Democratic campaign that helped bring hope to many in a fading economy. Now after over 100 days in office the President is being graded on whether he has been able to bring that change he promoted or not. Questions are raised on whether or not he is just another Politian to bring false promises in order to further his own the agenda of being elected in to office.

PRAYER
President Obama has been granted the distinction and honor of being one the great men to lead this nation. We pray that God will lead him in making the correct decisions for this country. We pray for blessings and protection for him and his family. We pray for forgiveness for those who have ill intentions. We also pray for the people of this proud nation, the United States of America, that we will be united and in God’s grace. President Obama, we support you today in prayer.
