News Flash! Another celebrity on the hate list!! Here we go again. Chris Brown is talented. America loved him because he was the ultimate performer. His songs were clean and let’s face it he had the WOW factor on stage. I too was shocked at the news of him and Rihanna. But then again who wasn’t? He was the perfect brand. But that is just it; we all were looking at Chris Brown the brand and personality. Let’s talk about Chris Brown the person.
Off the stage, he seemed like a really good guy. Looking at old interviews he seemed to really have it together. I remember meeting him once at a concert when he was 16. His body guard stopped me to say excuse me miss, Chris Brown wants to speak with you. lol (Not referring to his song.) I briefly spoke with him and complimented him how well he did at the show. After speaking with him I thought he seemed like really nice guy.
Well what do you think? Should Chris Brown be forever an outcast of society and labeled the poster boy for domestic abuse? Well here is my opinion. We all know Chris Brown was wrong. He knows he was wrong. The situation he and Rihanna went through was terrible. I have been listening to all the bloggers and comments with people debating back and forth about whether he is sincere or not in this video. Why must we do this to people? Tear them down when they need help, and ostracize them when they need support. Honestly I think it is hard for people to accept the fall from grace because Chris had such a squeaky clean image, but I believe it is just as wrong to not forgive him when he is asking for forgiveness.
He is a young man who is battling his own demons that come with the territory of growing, learning and living. He has obviously had time to do some soul searching and says he is dealing with it and is correcting the situation with therapy and wise counsel. He is not trying to profit from the ordeal. So my opinion is give the kid a break, just pray for him and hope that he gets better. If we don’t, who will? And how are we any different than the old barbaric stone casters who killed the people in the streets for committing sins. Even Jesus saw this to be wrong saying. “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone…” John 8:7, Bible. Let’s pray Chris Brown is getting good counsel, good help and has or will find God along the way.
It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
